Tuition Policy

The first tuition payment for the academic season in the fall is due at the time of registration. Payments for the remaining tuition are billed monthly. Stage costume deposits, jazz and ballet uniforms, and shoe fees are all due at the time of registration. Recital fees are due the last week of April.

 

Payments may be made by cash or check. No credit cards accepted. 

 

NSF: There will be a $25 processing charge for each NSF check.

Class & Attendance Rules, Policies and Codes

Class Rules, Dress, AND Hair Codes

Basic Classroom Discipline: Our staff requires attentive and well-rested dancers when they arrive for class. Respect and courtesy for )he instructor are a must, as well as for the dancer’s classmates. Questions pertinent to the dance discipline are encouraged during class, but visiting and chit-chat will not be tolerated. Dancers are not allowed to go to and from the dance floor without the permission of the class instructor. NO food allowed. Water break(s) will be given at the appropriate time(s) by the class instructor. NO gum chewing. NO street shoes on dance floor. NO jewelry. NO cell phones.

Ballet Attire: Black leotard, black or pink ballet skirt, ballet-pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled up and away from face in a ballet bun

Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre: Black leotard, black jazz pants, black shoe (tap, jazz shoe, or jazz boot – as per class assignment), hair pulled up away from face in a ponytail.

Boys: White fitted shirt (short sleeve, or tank), black jazz pants, black shoe (tap, ballet, or jazz – as per class assignment), hair neat and out of eyes.

Attendance, Tardy, AND Pick-up Policy

Consistent attendance will allow each student to experience progress as outlined in the curriculum and wilt help the student feel comfortable in his/her classroom environment. It is essential that students come to class on time. Lack of proper warm-up at the beginning of class could lead to injuries and disrupt class concentration. Participation of students over 10 minutes late to any class will be left to the discretion of the instructor. PLEASE pick up your child promptly when class has ended. Staff cannot be responsible for watching your child at any time during the workday. PLEASE pick up your child promptly when any rehearsal or Company activity has ended. Please DO NOT wait for your dancer to call you to be picked up at the end of class. Staff may not leave the building until all students have been safely picked up at the end of our day. You will be warned the first time you are late picking up your child. Your account may be charged a $5 late fee per 15 minutes for any additionally late pick-ups. Please respect the teachers timetables.

Make-up Classes AND Private Lessons

There are no tuition refunds for absences. Make-ups are allowed at the same level in the same type of dance class. Make-up classes are a privilege and NOT a convenient alternative to regular class time. (for many classes might be full!1!!!!

Additional Policies & Procedures

Waiting Room Etiquette 

Vergine’s suggests that because of the close quarters, courtesy, restraint and good humor are needed in our waiting room. Please keep children seated and occupied. Running and loud talking are prohibited. The waiting room is primarily a place of business. A quiet, orderly atmosphere is essential.

Telephone Etiquette 

Dancers will only be permitted to use the telephone in an emergency situation. Please realize that the phone is a business line and cannot be tied up by dancers who are calling for rides. A courtesy phone is located on the wall.

Personal Items Security Policy

Vergine's is not responsible for damage, theft, or loss of personal property on facility grounds. Students should not bring money or other valuables to the studio. Personal items such as cameras, purses, expensive coats, and other such items should not be left unattended.

Viewing Privileges

The studio viewing windows are provided for the parents and caregivers who have a child in the class. If the windows are not being used, others may use them to view classes. Vergine's requests that children be kept away from the viewing windows if adults are observing their children.

Lost and Found

All lost and found clothing items are placed in the shelving in the entrance. Rings, watches, etc., are held at the reception desk. Unclaimed possessions will be donated to charity

Parking

Vergine's Studio Parking

Please DO NOT leave cars in the drop-off zone. When dropping off your dancer, always enter from Shady Lane and exit through the circular drive onto Birch Street. (See map) Please park in designated areas only. Use caution when backing out (look for small children).
